In the final meeting of the cycle of seminars Verba Manent, Claudio Giunta, professor of Italian literature at the University of Trento, enriched the reflection on popular culture starting from the lesson of Piero Camporesi. The seminar, dedicated to Camporesi’s legacy, concerned the current relevance of his studies and the applicability of his methods, and took place on June 29th in mixed mode, both online and live, at the Federico II University of Naples. In his presentation Intorno e grazie a Piero Camporesi (About and thanks to Piero Camporesi), Giunta showed how such a courageous and revolutionary theoretical perspective still allows us today to examine very interesting aspects of popular culture and its contacts and short circuits with hegemonic culture.
